Notes

12/3/2020 - Brew Day - Did a quick Short & Shoddy brew with a 30-40 minute mash and a 30 minute boil. Decided to do a bit of a hop-stand after the boil. I added the flameout hops and cooled quickly to around 170 and then stopped chilling. I held at this temp for around 10 minutes and then started cooling again, but a little more slowly than normal. Also stopped stirring for the last 10 minutes and tried to keep some of the break material and hops in the kettle instead of pouring it all into the fermenter. Pitched some saved yeast cake of Omega British Ale V yeast around 75 degrees and fermented in the basement somewhat cool. I will need to keep an eye on this brew based on the last batch that used this yeast almost blowing the lid.
