Notes

8/2/2021 - Brew Day - Added a couple hop pellets to the start of the boil, but otherwise everything was added at flameout or later. Added hops at 0 minutes and killed the heat. I chilled with my new chiller down to 180 degrees, which only took a minute, and then did a 10 minute hop stand before cooling down the rest of the way. Pithced yeast and ended up using a swamp cooler to help keep the temp down.

8/10/2021 - Dry Hopped - SG=1.010 - Sample tasted good, but there was not much in the way of hop flavor or aroma at this point. Maybe adding all the hops at the end and cooling so efficiently needs to be factored into my recipe building. I may start trying to allow the hops to sit in the kettle for 10 minutes or so after flameout to get a bit more aroma and flavor. I added 2 oz Mosaic & 2oz El Dorado hops to the primary and put the lid back on. I'll keg after 7 days and put this beer on tap right away to replace my mojito blonde that's going to the CR Drink Local festival.

8/17/2021 - Kegged - FG=1.010 - Used my little hop filter when transferring to the keg to keep out hop particles from dry-hopping. Flavor was a bit sharp on the bittering side, especially considering there were no real kettle additions. Hopefully that will mellow out. The hop flavor and aroma were very good though. I'll be putting this on tap after pulling the Amber Lager to bring to the CR Drink Local festival to carb.
